And so it finally happened...

On Saturday 12th December 2015 the new changing rooms were officially opened by Craig Tracey (our local MP) and the Mayor of North Warwickshire, Martin Davis.

In the week leading up to the event, the car park was resurfaced on Wednesday, the containers were painted by Rob Fraser, Pete Rumble and Daniel Brookes and the memorial wall was completed by Rob late Friday.

Paul Bourne, Gary Rigby, Darren Brooks, Graham Colin, James Vernon, Alistair Johnson cleaned the whole of the building on Friday evening.

Completion of the works went right to the wire as bad weather and sodden ground meant the winding wheel could not be mounted on its plinth until 9.00 am on the day of the ceremony. Chiel Construction pulled out all of the stops to make this happen.

The day started with torrential rain and the forecast early in the day suggested that this would continue throughout the day. Fortunately the forecast was wrong, and whilst it wasn't tropical heat, it was dry.

Thanks to Dave, Becky and Penny Aldhouse and Paul Bourne and Kelly for taking on the car parking and kitchen duties.

Graham Colin opened the speeches welcoming everyone 'home' before giving an insight into the Club and it's values. Photos were taken of the winding wheel and Vernon Jones of CISWO was asked to take part to recognise his support. John Dicks, Vice President and Alistair Johnson were instrumental in obtaining the wheel, they joined the photo shoot.

The memorial wall  unveiled by Alethea Wilson, Ann Lewis and Hayden Philips. The ceremony was marked by a speech from James Vernon, Vice Chairman.

The main part of the opening ceremony was marked by speeches from the Mayor, Ian Brookes, Secretary and Craig Tracey, MO.

Ahead of the ribbon cutting ceremony, awards were presented to Dick Pickering, President, John Dicks, Alethea Wilson, Hannah Buckley and Brenda Grace.

After the opening ceremony, 4 matches were played between the club's teams ahead of commemorative trophies being handed over to all players.
